Tinni Mitra is a film editor based out of Mumbai, India. She has won Best Editing for her film school diploma film GERM& at National Film Awards, India. She is an alumnus of Berlinal Talents. She holds a Masters Degree in Film Studies from Jadavpur University, and a post graduate diploma in Editing from Satyajit Ray Film & T.V. Institute (SRFTI), India. She has been working in fiction and non fiction since 2012 and has contributed to many award wining films screened at prestigious festivals. Her recent notable work includes, SECOND CHANCE, a film directed by Subhadra Mahajan. This film is screened in Karlovy Vary Film Festival and Busan International Film Festival this year. It has also been selected in AFI Film Fest among others. Her earlier notable work includes NAZARBAND which premiered in Busan International Film Festival 2020. She edited WILD SWANS, a feature film directed by Rajni Basumatary. This film got the award for Best Film in Indian Language at Kolkata International Film Festival in 2023 and was screened in Stuttgart International Film Festival in 2024. Earlier She edited THE SEVENTH WALK, a feature film directed by Amit Dutta, was the Closing film of Cinema XXI section at Rome FilmFestival, 2013. It was also in the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2014.
